“I want to propose…that we think seriously about constituting a ‘Tribunal of the People’ with international bodies and the large defenders of human rights to begin a lawsuit against the [US President Barack] Obama government,” Morales said in his speech to the 68th UN General Assembly on Tuesday.
Last week the Bolivian president said Obama is a “criminal” who willingly violates international law, and that Bolivia is preparing to file legal action at the International Court against the US president for crimes against humanity.
Morales also blasted Washington for its behavior toward Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who was recently banned from passing though US airspace.
The Venezuelan leader cancelled his plan to attend the UN General Assembly in New York this week because he said he feared for his life.
Morales accused the United States of harboring terrorists and urged that UN headquarters be moved from New York.
The Bolivian president also criticized Washington for denying visas to members of his delegation.
Morales told the annual UN leaders’ summit that he did not feel safe in the US because of spying and security concerns.
